Reason Starts with Faith

Some people think reason and faith are at odds. But reason without faith is like a map without a compass—you may have data, but no direction.

We start with faith not because we reject thinking, but because we know truth isn’t something we invent. It’s something we receive. God gave us minds to think clearly, but also hearts to trust Him.

Begin with faith. Then reason your way forward.

Suggestions for the Day

  • In your next decision, ask: Am I leaning more on control or on trust?

  • Read a Scripture verse with your mind and heart—ask what it means, and what it asks of you.

  • Talk to someone who questions faith. Listen first. Then offer truth, calmly and clearly.
