Good, but Not God

There’s nothing wrong with enjoying success, security, or even luxury. The problem starts when we treat good things like ultimate things.

When we rely too heavily on the comforts of this world, we forget they’re only temporary. They’re gifts, not gods. They’re tools, not trophies.

Put good things in their place—and keep your eyes on what lasts.

Suggestions for the Day

  • Take stock of your priorities: What do you cling to more than God?

  • Practice detachment from one small comfort today.

  • Thank God for something good—but tell Him you love Him more.
