Stop the Blame Game

It’s tempting to explain away our failures. “It’s how I was raised.” “It’s just how things work in my industry.” “If they hadn’t pushed me, I wouldn’t have snapped.”

But excuses don’t heal you. Ownership does. Real evil doesn’t live outside you. It starts in the will.

Own your choices. Then offer them to Christ.

Suggestions for the Day

  • Catch yourself in an excuse today. Then correct it.

  • In prayer, admit a sin without softening the language.

  • Reflect on how taking responsibility leads to freedom.

A man kneels in silent prayer in a dimly lit church corner, facing a wooden cross mounted on the wall. Warm sunlight streams through a tall window, casting dramatic shadows and golden beams across the textured wall and wooden paneling, highlighting the reverent silhouette of the man.
